Game description

Clowntastrophe was a 48 hours Game Jam project which was made in unity. The 48 hour restriction to create the game in was a very good learning experience for me. The theme of the game jam was childhood games, and we got "green light red light" as our topic. For this we decided to make a stealth game.

Players played as a little girl attempting to escape from a moody clown. The clown had a balloon, which when green meant safe, and when red meant dangerous. There were two ways to escape: walk past the clown when it is safe to do so, or turn off the light. However, the catch was that being a little girl, if the light was switched off she would get scared, and if the little girl got too scared then the player would lose the game.

Here are some screen shots and gameplay video from the project.

Roles & Responsibilities
I was the character and UI artist in this project. We had only 48 hours, and so to finish the game on time, we decided to make only 2 characters. I quickly designed the two characters and then talked with my teammates about how best to get the art in the game. Once the pipeline was initialized I stayed in constant communication with the programmers to incorporate all the art.

As a cheery on the top, our team won the BEST ART prize in the game jam! I enjoyed working with such a happy and hard working team and would love to participate in more game jams in the future!
